Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel

Upgrade your Mitsubishi Triton MR with a purpose-built 4-inch stainless steel short entry snorkel, designed to improve intake airflow while helping provide the engine with cooler and cleaner air. Manufactured in Australia, the Visor Investment Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel combines strong stainless steel construction with a range of finish and customisation options.

Whether you’re building your Triton for 4WD touring, camping, off-road adventures, work use or simply want a tougher exterior appearance, this snorkel is designed to provide both practical intake functionality and a distinctive 4WD look.

4-Inch Stainless Steel Construction

The Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel is manufactured from stainless steel and uses a 4-inch intake size to provide a large and efficient airflow path.

Stainless steel is well suited to 4WD applications because it offers excellent durability and resistance to corrosion. The robust construction makes this snorkel suitable for vehicles that regularly encounter dust, dirt, rain, gravel roads and demanding off-road conditions.

The short entry design provides a clean and purposeful installation while giving your Mitsubishi Triton MR the rugged appearance associated with a properly equipped 4WD.

Designed to Suit the MR Triton

This snorkel is specifically designed to suit the Mitsubishi Triton MR, providing a vehicle-specific solution rather than relying on a generic universal snorkel.

The short entry configuration is ideal for owners who want a more compact and distinctive intake setup while retaining the benefits of a raised air intake.

Before ordering, always confirm your vehicle model and configuration to ensure the correct fitment.

Maximise Airflow

A properly designed snorkel can play an important role in improving the way your engine receives intake air.

The 4-inch design of the Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel provides a generous airflow path and is designed to help maximise airflow through the intake system.

The snorkel also raises the intake position, helping your Triton’s engine access air from higher around the vehicle rather than relying solely on an intake positioned lower in the engine bay.

For the best overall result, the snorkel can be paired with a suitable performance airbox.

Cooler and Cleaner Intake Air

One of the key advantages of a snorkel is its ability to move the engine’s intake point higher on the vehicle.

The Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel is designed to provide your engine with cooler and cleaner air, which can be particularly beneficial when driving in dusty, dry or off-road environments.

A raised intake can help reduce exposure to dust, dirt and debris compared with a lower intake location. However, the snorkel is only one part of the overall intake system. Air filters, airbox seals, intake connections and other components should all be maintained correctly.

A snorkel also does not make a vehicle completely waterproof. Water crossings should always be assessed carefully, and the entire vehicle must be prepared for the conditions.

Three Finish Options Available

The Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel is available in three finish options, giving you the flexibility to choose an appearance that suits your vehicle.

You can match the snorkel to your Triton’s existing accessories or use the finish as part of a larger custom 4WD build.

If you’re looking for something more individual, custom snorkel end caps and additional customisation options are also available.

Custom Snorkel End Caps

Make your Triton stand out with a custom snorkel end cap.

Our range of custom end-cap designs gives you the opportunity to personalise the appearance of your snorkel rather than settling for a standard design.

Custom end caps can be an excellent finishing touch for modified Tritons, show vehicles, touring rigs and personalised 4WD builds.

If you have a particular design in mind that isn’t included in the available options, contact us to discuss your requirements. We can work with you to bring your vision to life.

Custom work may attract an additional cost depending on the requested design or finish.

Manufactured in Australia

The Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel is manufactured in Australia and built with durability in mind.

Our stainless steel snorkels are designed for the demands of 4WD use, whether your Triton spends its time touring remote areas, travelling on gravel roads, exploring tracks or simply being used as a capable daily driver.

The combination of stainless steel construction, multiple finish options and custom end-cap designs gives you the opportunity to build a snorkel that performs its intended intake function while complementing the appearance of your vehicle.

Pair With a BR Customs Airbox

For maximum results, pair the Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel with a compatible BR Customs Airbox.

The snorkel and airbox work together as part of the vehicle’s intake system. The snorkel provides the raised intake path, while a suitable airbox helps manage and protect the air entering the engine.

If you’re looking to upgrade your Triton’s complete intake system, combining the snorkel with a compatible airbox can provide a more comprehensive solution than fitting the snorkel by itself.

Always check airbox compatibility with your exact Triton engine and configuration before ordering.

Why Install a Snorkel on an MR Triton?

A snorkel is more than an exterior styling accessory. It forms part of the vehicle’s engine intake system and can help move the intake point to a higher and cleaner position.

For Triton owners who regularly travel on dusty roads, a raised intake can help reduce the amount of dust and debris the engine is exposed to. This can be particularly useful when travelling in convoys or following other vehicles on dry tracks.

The snorkel can also provide additional intake height for water crossings, but it should never be assumed that installing a snorkel makes deep-water crossings safe.

Proper preparation, careful driving and ensuring the complete intake system is correctly sealed are all important.

Built for a Custom Triton

The Mitsubishi Triton MR is a popular platform for touring and off-road modifications, and the right accessories can transform both its capability and appearance.

A stainless steel short-entry snorkel adds a strong 4WD aesthetic while providing a functional raised intake. With three finish options and custom end-cap designs available, you can also tailor the snorkel to suit the rest of your build.

Whether you’re creating a dedicated touring rig or simply upgrading your daily-driven Triton, the Mitsubishi Triton MR Short Entry Snorkel offers a practical and distinctive intake solution.
